Hasbro Children’s Fund

Critical to our growth and development has been the establishment of the Hasbro Center for Teaching Excellence at the Institute in 2006.  As the Institute’s professional development arm, the Hasbro Center has helped us build capacity and expand programs, while supporting a 750% increase in the number of teachers we train annually.  Each year, the Hasbro Center supports 1,500 teachers (and 30,000 students in their care) through training in research-based intervention programs, a high-impact model for Response to Intervention and school based literacy reform, Integrate Technology initiatives, and tailored projects that blend direct service and professional development to maximize student impact and school sustainability.  The Highlander Institute is immensely grateful to the Hasbro Children’s Fund for their generosity and ongoing commitment to our efforts in support of teachers and students.
