Hasbro Children’s Fund
Since 2006, The Hasbro Children’s Fund has been critical to the Institute’s growth and development in the field of professional development and outreach with the establishment of The Hasbro Center for Teaching Excellence. The Hasbro Center for Teaching Excellence is the Institute’s mechanism for sharing best practices with educators throughout RI by providing high-quality research-based training, workshops and consulting that meets the individualized needs for schools and districts. Each year, The Hasbro Center supports more than 1,500 teachers (and over 30,000 students in their care) through training in research-based intervention programs, a high-impact model for Response to Intervention, school-based literacy reform, technology integration and blended learning initiatives, as well as other tailored professional development topics that maximizes student performance impacts. The Highlander Institute is immensely grateful to the Hasbro Children’s Fund for their generosity and ongoing commitment to our efforts in support of teachers and students.
